Alright time for the next movie review! For today it will be a review on the animated Pixar film, Wall-E. A great departure from the film in last review, Wall-E is a film that will appeal to a wider audience, and it is full of laughs, cute robots, light-hearted humour and touching moments. At heart, the film is about the love story between Wall-E and Eve, the 2 main lead robots of the film, and this is enough to hold the film together, and the best moments are usually when both of them are on screen at the same time.
The animation is also superbly done, with the renderings of celestial objects like galaxies and stars being particularly eye-catching as they seem to be in 3D and popping out of the screen. The robots are also well designed, and Wall-E is definitely one of the cutest animated characters I have seen in a long time - the way he moves, "talks" and the things that he does in order to be with Eve are memorable, heart warming and comical too. Kudos to the Pixar animators, who seem to be improving on each movie they release!
One of the messages of the show was also how humans should look after Earth, and also look after themselves. If not they risk becoming very very very unhealthy. I shall not spoil things for those who have not seen it, but really, after watching the show one may feel like exercising more!*looks at tummy and sighs*
oh watch out for the cleaning robot too! i think he's hilarious!

Meng's Sports update 2
Alrighty, it's time for update 2! First among the news is that the transfer window is finally closed, and clubs can now start to focus on matters on the pitch rather than off it! 3 things that i felt were the most important in this just concluded transfer window.
1. Ronaldo staying at man utd is one of the highlights. After a few months of courting by Real Madrid, Fergie manages to get Ronaldo to stay, maybe for just another season but at least that allows time to look for replacements etc. I feel that this may be an important move, and convincing him to stay is much different from FORCING him to stay! (read next bit of news to see what i mean). Though Ronaldo may have had his head turned by Real, at least he did not throw tantrums, and never did he once force the issue. A man to man talk with Ferguson solved the problem. And I cannot deny that though he almost cost us the Champs league final. without Ronaldo we would not have got to the final in the first place!
2. Berbatov is here! Finally, after months and months of checking the net daily for updates (sorry dear dear), man utd sign him on the final day of the transfer window, in the final hour! gosh it was close, and it was expensive, but that's all in the past now. I feel that his style suits man utd perfectly, a player with flair, strength, aerial prowress, vision and the knack for the spectacular. He may not be the quickest player on the field, but hey! He's a targetman/striker, not a winger! Anyone who has scored vs chelsea and the other big clubs are certainly welcome to join man utd. Let's hope he scores vs another big club on his debut on the 13th, which is when man utd play liverpool! Also anyone who turned down 150k-200k (according to reports) contract by another club to come to man utd also has my approval! But who offered him so much money???
3. The answer to that is Man Ctiy, the "new chelski" in my eyes. After being taken over by a billionaire oil sheikh who is supposed to be richer than chelski's Roman, they went on to spoil the market by offering crazy money for many players on the transfer deadline day. Bids for David Villa, Mario Gomez and yes, Berbatov were all made, and the total cost of that alone would be around oh..... just 80 million pounds at least. It was crazy stuff, and spurs(idiots) actually accepted the bid from man city, so as to, i think, force man utd to up their own bid. Well they succeeded, but the point is that it shows not all players go for the $$$$$! Prepare to see more crazy money bids for players by man city when the window reopens in Jan! Oh maybe a 100million pound bid for kaka, another 200million for messi,.... you never know with all these billionaire buggers. At least man utd do not anyhow anyhow splash the cash about.. makes you wonder why 1/3 of the world are considered poor and in need of aid.... sigh...
oh before i end, good to see that Fraizer Campbell has gone on loan to Spurs for a year. Hope he gets more exposure there, and maybe score against the pools, arsenal, chelski n man city !
